Are you a wrecker service
No we are not. A wrecker is a type of tow truck that is used to recover vehicles from various locations. For example, a wrecker may be used to flip a car or truck that has rolled over, pull a vehicle from a precarious position off the road, or separate multiple vehicles which have become squashed together. Wrecking companies are equipped specifically for their task and are well trained in their field. If you need a wrecker service you can easily find one by searching for 'wrecker near me' in Google Maps.
Do you tow vehicles
We do not tow vehicles. We haul vehicles on a flatbed trailer. The risk of damage to drive trains and the vehicle in general while towing is too high. A safer method is to secure the vehicle to a flat bed truck or trailer using at least four tie down points.
Are you insured
Yes. Zipp Group, LLC carries full liability insurance and also has cargo insurance of $100,000. If vehicle is valued higher than the coverage limit of $100,000, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure the vehicle has adequate personal coverage for amounts exceeding this limit.
What kind of vehicles can you haul
We can haul almost any car truck or SUV. The absolute maximum payload rating of our equipment is 10,000 lbs. We like to stay below 8,000 lbs. to give a good safety margin. As a rough guide an F250 long wheel base weighs about 6,500 lbs. and a Chevy Suburban weighs about 6,000 lbs. So unless you have something bigger than those, we have you covered!
Do I need to schedule ahead
If you have a need for a specific transport time you should try and schedule us as soon as possible. We can be flexible with our schedule but if we make a commitment to our customers then we will stick solidly to it. It is always best to call and we will work out an arrangement that suit all.
Will you pick up a car from the auction house in Augusta
Yes. Our normal operating zone is within about a 30 mile radius of Metter GA. But longer hauls are certainly not a problem.
Can you haul ATV's and Golf Carts
We can easily accommodate four Golf carts OR two ATV's
What do I need to do before my vehicle is picked up
You or your designated representative must be present at the time of pickup and delivery and are responsible for signing the inspection report/bill of lading at both pickup and delivery
Remove all personal belongings from your vehicle
Alarm systems must be disconnected, disabled, or turned off
Your vehicle can't have any obvious fluid leaks
The tires should be inflated
Your vehicle should be clean for inspection at the time of pickup. We record existing damage on the Bill of Lading and photograph vehicles before and after delivery. Bill of lading form is here
Under NO circumstances can the car contain firearms, hazardous materials, illegal substances, or contraband. We are not responsible for any personal items accidentally or intentionally left in your vehicle or for damage these items cause to your vehicle
Make sure the keys are available at the time of pickup
What happens if my vehicle is damaged during transport
Your car is insured under our cargo policy to the value of $100,000 when being shipped by Zipp Group, LLC. Important guidelines must be followed before a damage claim can be processed.
First, there must be (in the eyes of the insurance company) damage. The damage must be noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery! If it’s not listed there must not have been any damage
Second, take pictures as soon as possible
Third, obtain at least two estimates. When this is completed submit estimates and original photos to us. We will contact the insurance company to initiate the claim and help in any way possible to facilitate the process.

Will my vehicle be driven
Your car will be maneuvered to the rear of the trailer that will haul it. The vehicle will be loaded and unloaded using a winch and the correct rigging for your vehicle. The odometer is recorded at pickup and delivery, it will not have changed.
